Speaking of God - Volume Two

It all began a year ago as we looked for a way to define certain difficult but common Christian terms, words like atonement, grace, and mercy. With broad congregational participation, six "troublesome" words were selected and became the focus of the first rendering of Speaking of God. The words were used for sermon topics, were expanded upon by volunteer writers from the congregation, and discussed by a number of weekly small groups.

Now, with Part Two, we have taken the next six words in vote order as selected by the congregation last year and made the same use of them as before. The writers featured were asked to give their reaction to the selected word and tell how their understanding of it affected their actions.

We want to extend our thanks to the writers who have dared to express themselves on these difficult words. And also to wish that all who venture into this study experience valuable personal insights and receive rich blessings as we continue . . . Speaking of God.

You may pick up a booklet at Church on Sunday, in the office, or follow along online on our blog.
