God’s Promise Realized Through Faith

After I read these verses several times and researched them looking for inspiration, I realized that I was making this too complicated. The words “God’s promise realized through faith” say it best. We must keep our faith alive and practice it openly to realize God’s promise to Abraham which was “I have made you the father of many nations”. This promise was made not by law but through grace for all who share in the faith. I think this means we must realize that we are not rewarded by the merits of our own works, but by faith in Jesus and the promised reward of everlasting life. Yes, we should practice God’s teachings and should follow His words, but we must do this with faith and not for the glory of the moment. Our acts of giving, charity, compassion and love must come from the heart and from our faith and not because we have a need to have them recognized. If we do this, we will receive the greatest reward of all-the knowledge that we are loved by God and that He will keep his promise to us of everlasting life.
