Ephesians 2: 8-10

I find GRACE a mysterious idea to grasp.  Through your faith and your awareness of the Christ Consciousness  it just happens.  It’s a free gift from our creator.  I think of it as finding favor with the Lord just for being ourselves.  In a childish way it’s kind of like being put on Santa’s “good” list even though you know you’ve done things that should disqualify you.  I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this thing called grace.

I found the other main concept in this scripture a major guideline for us on how to live our lives.  “FOR WE ARE WHAT HE HAS MADE US”. Those few words really give you a lot to think about. It seems to me if we are HIS workmanship, then we each need to accept ourselves, appreciate ourselves, explore ourselves, and discover what special gifts we  were each given. And since others were made by God, also, it seems obvious we should accept them, appreciate them, explore them and discover their special gifts, too.   And if our purpose in life is that we were “CREATED FOR GOOD WORK” then we need to ask ourselves how we can use our unique talents to manifest that. When you join F.U.M.C. isn’t that exactly what we are asked to do? I’m continually fascinated by the wide variety of talents different humans have and the creative ways they use them to be channels of blessings for others.

So could these few verses really guide us to the WAY OF LIFE our creator really wants for us?  Is this the meaning of life we are all searching for?  Could this really be the key to happiness, joy and contentment?   Could THE WAY really be that simple?
