Hebrews 5:5-7

In this passage, it is said that Jesus did not glorify himself to be a high priest, but was called upon by God to “be a priest forever.”

Jesus is not reluctant to serve, but, rather doesn’t want to be seen as better than anyone else. He serves others and shows his love through all that he does in his daily life. Throughout the Bible are stories of Jesus showing his kindness and love. So much so that it has led to the modern day saying, “What would Jesus do?”

As we move about our daily business of work, grocery shopping, parenting, or being with friends, try to be Jesus for someone. We need to look for the small ways that we can show our love and care for others. Whether we are showing kindness to a stranger, playing with a child, or listening to a friend, care for one another as Jesus did.
