Psalm 71:1-14

As I read this part of Psalms, I couldn’t help but think of my own life as a child. Where it says in verse 6, “I have relied on you all my life; you have protected me since the day I was born”. Well, I remember praying as a child and somehow just knowing that no matter what happened to me or around me and my family, that things would be alright. And this brings to mind that I need to give my mom and dad credit for this way of thinking. My parents lived their belief in God. They didn’t seem to say it a lot, they just lived like they knew God was our help in every way. Now, that is the way I want to live. I choose to live, or try to live the way Jesus teaches us – a different way to live and God help me for the many times I stumble.
