Wednesday, April 8Hebrews 12:1-3 & Isaiah 50:4-9aThe Obedient ServantHebrews: Fortunate are we to be surrounded by those who live their life of faith. Let us run with endurance the race God has given us by keeping our eye on and following Jesus. Isaiah: The Lord has given me his words of wisdom. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. I listen and obey. Recently I attended an UMW workshop for Spiritual Growth. Our leader challenged us to start the day with the Alarm Clock Hallelujah. Instead of hitting the snooze button, pray with a grateful heart, “Thank you, God, for this wondrous gift of a new day.” Sing the familiar, beloved hymn: This is the day that the Lord has made. “Lord, what is your plan for me today? What do you want me to do? God has chosen us to be disciples of Jesus, listeners of his word, followers of his way, and witnesses to his love. |
