Our church provides infant, toddler and 3-5 year old childcare during our Sunday
morning church service. We are open from 9:15 am until shortly after the worship
service's benediction. You are welcome to keep your child/ren with you for the entire
program in church or bring them to the childcare room at any time. When you bring your
child into our care, you will be given a pager that connects you to our long range paging
system so that we can contact you while you are in church, only if you are needed for
your child in the nursery.
The childcare room is a cheerful and sunny place with learning areas that include a
climbing and padded play mat with mirrors, infant sensory toys, blocks, cars and trucks,
books and puzzles, a creative play house and tables for art and snack. The bathroom is
child-sized and has a changing table. A crib is available for napping and a rocking chair
for soothing. A basic first aid kit and fire extinguisher are on the premises. We ask that
you bring the supplies that you feel your child/ren will need while you are in church such
as diapers, wipes, favorite lovies or toys and a snack if desired.
Our staff consists of a lead caregiver, Kerrie Rutherford and one assistant. Kerrie has
studied at Napa Valley College and has earned Child and Family Studies Associate
Teacher units. She has over eight years of experience working with children and enjoys
planning activities to do with the children. Kerrie has her infant-child cardio-pulmonary
resuscitation certificate and is first aid certified. All the staff has completed the live-scan
fingerprinting process.
If you are thinking of using our childcare services on Sunday morning, please stop in to
meet Kerrie, see our facility and we will be happy to answer your questions.
