It is expected that a minister from this church will officiate at the wedding ceremony. Any arrangements to include or substitute another officiant must be arranged with our minister and church. The minister will work with you to design a meaningful ceremony. The minister is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all worship services at the church. Thus, the content of the service is the responsibility of the minister, in consultation with the couple, and will be discussed in pre-wedding meetings. A pre-wedding meeting should be arranged with the officiating minister as soon as possible, in order to find mutually agreeable times to meet. This meeting is to get acquainted, and to discuss the ceremony in order to ensure a worshipful and meaningful wedding. Further meetings and counseling sessions may be arranged as needed or desired.
Visit the church to see the Sanctuary and other spaces used for weddings, or view PICTURES of the Sanctuary and other parts of the church on our website. The Sanctuary seats between 300 and 350 people. No smoking or alcoholic beverages are allowed on the church property. To see if your desired date is available contact Dianne, our Church Secretary, at (707) 253-1411. She can provide you with a wedding brochure and forms necessary to reserve the Church. Once you have checked on the availability of the Church and the Minister, a deposit will secure a placement on the Church Calendar. The Church Wedding Director is our representative, who will be present to assist the minister and to ensure that the wedding goes smoothly. She will help plan the details of the ceremony and is helpful in advising you on other possibilities and procedures. She will help to organize and direct the rehearsal and is the contact person for arranging flowers, photographs, video, etc.

Weddings, in the Christian tradition, are a form of
worship. All worship services at FUMC Napa, have at
the center the God of love, justice and compassion.
For this reason, a worship ceremony has many
traditional and expected elements, but there is also a
great deal of flexibility and many choices to be made.
We want to work with you to make your wedding a
joyful, reverent, and memorable event. It is not
necessary to be a member of this church in order to
have your wedding in our sanctuary.
