Each of us has a story that only we can tell.
Generations from now a
genealogist can research the facts of our lives -- events and dates and
places and relationships -- but only we can write the story of who we
are and how we arrived at this moment in our lives.
As part of the church's small group ministry,
we offer an opportunity to
gather as writers and explorers of our selves. We write our own life stories
in bite-sized installments which we share with one another each session.
Through the use of writing
exercises and prompts to get us started, we write our stories and share
with one another the process of getting experience and emotion into words.
We offer the fellowship of writers, uncritical listening, and the
discipline of a regular deadline. No writing experience is necessary, just
a desire to get on with telling your story.
The writing group WRITE NOW! meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month at 12 noon at the Napa Genealogy Society Library 1701 Menlo Ave.
